Happy Easter to all the Bead Bank fans!
It’s been a busy few months for me so I’m sorry that I haven’t been online all that much to keep your interest going! However, I’ve finished all my lectures now (for my MSc in Speech and Language Therapy) and I’m just about to complete my final placement at The Royal Free Hospital before I can graduate. There’s just a little matter of exams and a few pieces of coursework/thesis to write over the summer but come September time I’ll be free!! (Can you tell how excited I am?)
Not only will I get my life back (3 years working in between my degree was far more fun than studying!) but I’ll have lots of time to create more jewellery and lots more time to take lots of photos for you. It may sound far too early…but if anyone hears of any Christmas craft fairs going on in their area then get in touch! – Just putting the idea out there.
This week I had the biggest challenge yet…to make a necklace for a good friend of mines mother…with very little notice I must add. This involved a lot of beading on the tube – an activity which draws masses of attention and makes me feel very pressured! However, the biggest pressure was to make something for a fellow jewellery/bead fanatic. The decision was easy of course…a replica of my silver beaded chain necklace. News just in is that she loved it. Phew!
And here it is!
I just want to remind everyone that all pieces from ‘The Show’ are on sale and can be ordered in a range of different colours. Do you have the perfect summer outfit but struggling to find something that will go? If so, send me your budget and jewellery needs/a photo of your outfit and I’ll let you know what would work best and how much it would cost. My prices range from £1-£55 (for the time consuming beaded chain necklaces) so it’s always worth enquiring as there is always something I can make to suit any budget.

The red chip bead necklace (seen on the MODO catwalk and pictured below) was recently ordered in a turquoise colour. This was a stunning necklace and I was sad to post it off in the end! I definitely need to find the time to make myself one. You can of course never have too much jewellery! If you would like to order one too then I can guarantee that it’d be a great addition to your spring/summer 2011 wardrobe as this piece is the perfect way to effortlessly go from casual day wear to evening [again, photos to follow asap].
I’d also like to take this opportunity to ask customers to take photos of them wearing their purchases and put them onto the Bead Bank Facebook fan page. Alternatively, please email your photos to thebeadbank@gmail.com and I’ll pop them online for you.
Thanks again for your support for this fledgling business! All retweets and posts about the Facebook page are and will continue to be greatly appreciated! Please help me to spread the word about The Bead Bank, the jewellery designs that are being produced and the relative ease of ordering bespoke handmade pieces of jewellery. It is of course wedding season! Ordering bespoke jewellery is the perfect way to ensure nobody else at the wedding party is accessorised quite like you are!
Again, Happy Easter to all!
